Playwright Janet I. Thomas writes of an aspiring Howard University College Sophomore music major. Away from home, beautiful Michael Edison, the 19-year old gospel singer, soon embarks on a chaotic search for love in all the wrong places.
Tired and frustrated with the loneliness of her heart, Michael stops at a corner spot she drives by daily on her way home from college classes, “The Lonely Hearts” nightclub.
Stopping in one night, Michael beholds a tall, slender, dark, and most breathtakingly handsome man she’s ever laid eyes upon: Cameron Brown, unbeknownst to Michael.is an undercover snake in lamb's clothing. Fallen under the romantic spell of the handsome balladeer, Michael gives up all sensible reasoning to claim his heart.
