February 6, 2010 - (Alexandria, VA) – Bible Stories Theatre of Fine & Performing Arts (BSTFPA) announced today that they have opened registration for the JUMPPIN 4 JESUS 1 Annual “Double Dutch Tournament”.

The “JUMPPIN 4 JESUS Double Dutch Tournament” is a fund raiser event that will benefit the return, updated, and revised educational stage production of the Ancient Egyptian stage production of Nefertiti 18 Dynasty. BSTFPA wants to open this opportunity to everyone, regardless of age, gender, nationality & ability.
Growing up, many children enjoyed the fun sport of double Dutch jump rope.  The art of Double Dutch jump rope is a fun way for youth to stay active and express their creativity by incorporating fancy foot moves, gymnastics & dance. This BSTFPA’ 1 of many annual tournaments is just one of the creative programs that offer an opportunity for involvement in theatrical events and stage works of all types.

BSTFPA invites Double-Dutch jump rope teams from all across the Washington, DC/Baltimore, and Northern Virginia area, to be apart of this 1st Annual JUMPPIN 4 JESUS Double Dutch Tournament, scheduled for March 27, 2010.

About Bible Stories Theatre of Fine & Performing Arts

Bible Stories Theatre of Fine & Performing Artsis a minority illiteracy prevention 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization; the vision of BSTFPA was revealed in 1998.  After years of careful planning and organizing, the theatre became an operating grassroots establishment focused on creating community-based stage productions and programs to inner-city communities.

Among the many things unique about BSTFPA is the focus on bringing integrity, moral fiber, a strong confidential personality and honorable principles through dramatic arts on theatrical stage to ‘all’ families who might not otherwise have the opportunities to learn the fundamental of performing arts as a way for personal growth because of the high cost of private schools.

With the potential involvement with community organizations and schools, lives and families will be changed and the community will begin to sprout and bare creative fruit in the Fine and Performing Arts!   As a community-focused traveling theatre, that provides academically, youth and young adult character-building traits, biblically-principled theatrical programs and services to cost-effectively disadvantaged children and their families, BSTFPA offers to children and families the skills they will need for a lifetime of learning.
